It doesn't feel like 2 minutes since that battleaxe midwife was giving the paediatrician (who was up to his elbow in places you don't even want to think about) the death stare across the birthing table as I lay -most uncomfortably and very very undignified - legs akimbo in the stirrups as she calmly uttered the immortal words...
"There will be no caesarean sections on my watch 'Doctor'."
and the poor little trainee doctor in prime viewing position who went white as a sheet and had to sit down saying "I've never seen a twin birth before..." was firmly told to "Move.... now."
She was a formidable lady... she definitely had control of that room full of people... me, rich, my mum, the trainee, the doctor, the 2 special care doctors and their 2 nurses and an extra midwife.. and the midwife that was off shift who had been involved earlier on and wanted to know what we were getting... and any tom, dick or harry that walked down the hall and heard the whispers of "natural twin delivery in room 4.." honestly.. I was wondering if I'd signed up for the first ever twin birth without c section in Bradford!
So yes... 5 years ago. I gave birth to.. well..

these...
hard to believe that they're now this size...

but they are. So.. even though its not the official birthday until the 21st we had to have a party today and presents too cos being a cool mum I realise that getting your birthday presents half an hour before you have to go to school is shit... so we got them early which was much better!
So to my babies. Happy 5th Birthday.. you're growing up waaaaaaaaaaay too fast.
Mummy nub loo. xx
p.s. Have you seeeeeeeeeen how handsome my son looks in a shirt??? MY GOD my kids are gorgeous...lol

Awww, happy birthday to your lovely girls Jen!
And yes, your children are beautiful, which looks sort of suspicious with the hole 'Rich is their dad' thing. Me thinks a tardis may have dropped by a couple of times! :P
