My darling husband comes through the door this evening full of excitement. He has a night off...

A night off for a chef is a rare occurence. Being a chef's wife isn't the easiest thing in the world... whilst you get birthday's and anniversaries, Xmas, New Year, Valentine's, Mother's Day etc... the poor chef's wife gets...well...bugger all.
Pity poor Jen for it is no fun :(

So when my beloved comes home chatting merrily about an evening off there is excitement in the air!! I wonder what the occasion may be? it is not our anniversary... my birthday is in June and its not Xmas for another month so what gives?

What could it be? wait!!!!! Maybe my husband is going to treat me to "dinner and a movie" as Donna would say...a 'date'. I wait patiently to be invited.

and then I realise....

No. dinner and a movie is not happening.... for my husband has the night of the 24th off.

He has not taken the night off for lil old me... Noooooooooooooooooooooooo he has taken the evening off for this man...
