HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!!!!
My babies are 5. yes count those years cos I said F-I-V-E!!!!!! can you believe it? I bloody can't...
It doesn't feel like 2 minutes since that battleaxe midwife was giving the paediatrician (who was up to his elbow in places you don't even want to think about) the death stare across the birthing table as I lay -most uncomfortably and very very undignified - legs akimbo in the stirrups as she calmly uttered the immortal words...
"There will be no caesarean sections on my watch 'Doctor'."
and the poor little trainee doctor in prime viewing position who went white as a sheet and had to sit down saying "I've never seen a twin birth before..." was firmly told to "Move.... now."
She was a formidable lady... she definitely had control of that room full of people... me, rich, my mum, the trainee, the doctor, the 2 special care doctors and their 2 nurses and an extra midwife.. and the midwife that was off shift who had been involved earlier on and wanted to know what we were getting... and any tom, dick or harry that walked down the hall and heard the whispers of "natural twin delivery in room 4.." honestly.. I was wondering if I'd signed up for the first ever twin birth without c section in Bradford!
So yes... 5 years ago. I gave birth to.. well..

these...
hard to believe that they're now this size...

but they are. So.. even though its not the official birthday until the 21st we had to have a party today and presents too cos being a cool mum I realise that getting your birthday presents half an hour before you have to go to school is shit... so we got them early which was much better!
So to my babies. Happy 5th Birthday.. you're growing up waaaaaaaaaaay too fast.
Mummy nub loo. xx
p.s. Have you seeeeeeeeeen how handsome my son looks in a shirt??? MY GOD my kids are gorgeous...lol

Lazytown came to Scarborough..
I decided the other day that I ought to transfer all the stuff from my mobile phone to the computer, I do this quite regularly now cos I always have my phone to hand and it records some of our families most precious moments and I've lost phones or broken them and lost the memories with them before so now I upload to the computer so it wont happen again.
Anyway..I've found lots of stuff on it this time that I'd forgotten about (so there'll be lots of blogging over the next few days) but this one here is a particular favourite..it still makes me giggle like crazy - you'll hear me in the back ground..lol
A few days before we left for our summer holiday the kids (yes that includes Richard) had been watching Lazytown, they were having their usual sporting fun and enjoying a game of baseball... Stephanie has to prepare by... well Angie does it perfectly.. and apparently thats what baseball is. Enjoy.

First day at school...
So Monday was the first day of school for the girls.. well half day anyway, I never did understand why they did that... for thelast few weeks of nursery they're preparing them for full days at school, then they give them 6 weeks off and then make them come back to school for half days for a week, poor kids don't know whether they're coming or going do they?
Anyway, they started.. and in separate classes too!! I had mixed feelings about this, on the one hand I'm sad that they're being when they've always been together so far but I'm glad because I know they'll develop a better sense of individuality as opposed to always being 'Heather/Angelina's twin' or 'the girls' etc. We're noticing the benefits already, they miss each other and so they're playing nicer together at home... which is great for me..lol and when they do something in school they then come home and show the other one how to do it too... which will be great for their education. So there are definite plus points.
Jake likes his new teacher too which is a relief, I'll never forget the year he didnt like the teaching assistant and he had such a horrible time that year, thankfully she left halfway through the year and he picked up quickly after that..it was still a worrying time..
Another plus note is now I have 8 hours a day to do all kinds of things, I have ironing that needs doing, painting, cleaning, decluttering... not to mention going to the gym and coffee mornings etc and now I've been offered voluntary work at the school helping with the reading too... I'm busier now than I've ever been!!! LOL
I cant believe I have 3 kids at primary school...there are no more babies in the house!!!
I dunno whether to cry or throw a party.....think I'm gonna start with that pile of ironing that I havent had time to touch for the last 5 years.... whoever said having kids was easy?

Teeth, tantrums and tears.
Its been an eventful week.....first Jake lost a tooth and then a few days later lost another (kid is gonna bankrupt me if he carries on like this!) and then Rich tried to kill Heather... well actually his feet did and no, I'm not talking smell..lol she tripped up over his feet and went face first into the coffee table (which now has a dint in it), it was a bad one poor thing... a whole lot of blood, a screaming child and a panicking Daddy and yes... you guessed it, Angelina slept, peacefully oblivious throughout the whole thing lol.
Anyway poor Heather was so brave she only cried for a few minutes (it could have been the ice pop that bribed her into quietness as well as numbing her mouth, thus lessening her pain) but the blood!! That was scary.. and the bruising to her cheek.. and the tear in the gum.. I took some pics cos it was just so awful I had to share!!! LOL how morbidly disgusting... here have a look!!

poor baby. :(
So.. in other news.. Jake went back to school today which really pissed off Angelina cos she's desperate to start but she has to wait until Monday... this is completely killing her, I don't know why they cant start all the years on the same day but Angelina is NOT happy and she'll be even unhappier when I tell her she doesn't need to take her Peppa Pig lunchbox with her on Monday as the school in their infinite wisdom have decided to take things slowly and bring them into the school thing gradually... oh no.. she's gonna kick off for sure on that one. Her Peppa Pig lunchbox is the shiznit apparently... "even betterer than Heather's Charlie and Lola one and much much cooler than Jake's Ben 10 box" so there. lol
Pity poor me cos I'm the one thats going to have to break the news... I may not be back...lol
